The BAM-werf is located on the Toestenbordweg in Amsterdam North. The yard, with an area of approximately 25,000 m 2, is characterized by its location on the northern banks of the IJ, within the Amsterdam ring road. At the moment it is fully let and in use by two contractors, who use it for their business accommodation and the storage of equipment. Unique to the location is the presence of a pier. This is used, among other things, for the floating equipment.
Heren2 has purchased the site with a view to future redevelopment. The location falls within the contours of Haven-Stad, a future development ambition of the municipality of Amsterdam of a large residential and work area within the ring of Amsterdam. Within haven-Stad
there will be room to create fully-fledged residential and work areas with 40,000 to 70,000 homes and 45,000 to 58,000 jobs.
Heren2 is in line with these ambitions and intends to transform the entire complex into a residential area with commercial functions, while the spectacular location on the water will of course be fully appreciated.
